Biography

Rodrigo Espinosa (Santiago, Chile, 1969) joined the Marqués del Atrio group at the end of 2007 to lead its winemaking project.

Before coming to Spain, he worked at wineries such as Viña Larosa, Concha y Toro, and Mondavi in California.

La Rioja Oriental has been a subregion of Rioja where both wineries and winemakers from other subregions of the DOCa (Denominación de Origen Calificada) have always valued and even purchased grapes, yet it has never been prominently highlighted in communication. Why? In this presentation, we want to proudly raise the flag of Rioja Oriental and showcase its deep-rooted winemaking and cultural heritage, as well as demonstrate its great oenological diversity with two examples of completely different wines.
